Started from a small “Handmade” shop.

Our main brand “Yamagoya Ramen” started from one young man’s (Masatoshi Ogata) wish to make the “Ideal ramen.”
In 1969, when he had no money, he started to build a shop by hand using scrap lumber from a local school, and in 1970, he completed building his ramen shop and opened his doors for business.

Because the people who saw it said that it looked just like a mountain lodge, it was named Yamagoya (mountain lodge) Ramen.
We still adhere to serving that original ramen taste that began at that mountain-lodge-like handmade shop all those years ago.
